If life gives you lemons, make a lemonade

  • What do you expect?

    Posted: August 20th, 2007, 11:47am GMT by mariana91

Well I was reading another Second Opinion post and this one seemed interesting.
He talks about what we expect after the death, and give two alternatives to discuss.

    What do you expect

    a. heaven to be like?

    b. if you have another view after life?

Well I’ve chosen the alternative b to answear.

My opinion about what comes after the death is very different of other one’s opinion. I’ve created an image in my mind of life after death. I think after dying we would be with all the people that we lived together. In a beatiful place, but not as perfect as people talk. I think it would looks like with the earth but without any problems that we can find here. People would work, but not in serious jobs, and they would help each other, and we could see everything that happens on earth and come here also to help.
I think it would be a beach, always sunny, with the must amazing sea, and a lot of nature.
Actually I think it would be a normal place, and we would live like we live here, but without problems, discutions, violence, rage…

Well I think that’s what life after death would looks like if it exists really.

  • I swear on the Bible?

    Posted: August 20th, 2007, 11:31am GMT by mariana91

After reading a post on the Second Opinion  blog ([www.uniongrove.blogspot.com]) I decided to give my own opinion.

This post talks about the fact of all the presidents must swear on the Bible “telling the truth and nothing but the truth”. And to give our opinion Second Opinon bloggers give some alternatives:
    a. Why should this precedent (practice) be continued?
    b. What would happen if a person does not believe in the Bible, should they swear on something else?
    c. What if the person believes in another religion, should another holy book be used?

And I’ve chosen to answer the alternative b.

Actually I think the government should be separated of the religions. First because nowadays we have a lot of religions beeing practiced and not only the catholic one. So I think it is unfair to swear on the Bible, and not on other books of other religions.

Second, because in my opinion the presidents or anyone shouldn’t swear on a religion book. I don’t think it would be fair the President swear on his own religion, forgetting other religons. As I don’t it’s fair to the President to swear on a book that isn’t of his religion.

So I think they shouldn’t swear on any book or religion in order to consider all the religons equal and not making any distinction between them.
