Bee has presently taken a sabbatical year from the Franco-Brazilian secondary school in Sao Paulo. She has been involved in ELT (English Language Teaching) for more than 30 years and has been participating in international collaborative projects online since 1997. She co-moderated both the EVO 2005 Blogging and the 2007 Open Webpublishing sessions. She is the Braz-Tesol EduTech SIG coordinator and member of a number of online communities of practice like the Webheads in Action and TALO.

She is originally from the United States and is co-author of Young World (Klett and Balmer AG), a course book series for children in the Swiss primary schools.
