Back From Holidays

By Barbara Dieu · August 03, 2005

Bee´s Class My 28 1les are back from their winter holidays (in Brazil we have a month in July) full of pep, photographs to share, and stories to tell.

The project on Flickr started when the students were invited to view Josef Stuefer’s incredible pics and suggest their preferences for the Dekita headers. Then, as many were interested in knowing more about Josef’s and Rudolf’s work, they posted a number of questions, which, to their delight, were thoroughly answered.

Before the holidays, we created two pools at Flickr: Holiday Surprises and Everyday Scenes and the students departed with a mission: document what struck their attention. Photographs are now slowly being uploaded into the two pools.

I am sure you will love Lindia’s beautiful Chilean landscapes and Klara’s photos of her holidays in Croatia. Discover what Oceane did in England, Alex’s adventures at Club Med and Romain’s trip to the USA. Jeremy has recorded some very unusual everyday scenes.

Lots of talent, some weird sense of humour and conversation threads galore. Join us and participate in this exchange!

Very nice photos from you all. And fabulous holidays!
Klara, I’d love to have some more feedback about Croatia. It’s one of the countries in my plans.
Romain, did you fry any eggs on the pavement in Death Valley? I saw that once on a documentary!
Congrats, everyone, and thanks for sharing!
Teresa (in Portugal)

Hello Teresa!
As you want some more details about Croatia, I will write you something more about my trip.
I stayed 10 days on a delighful little isle called Korcula. When you arrive there by ferry boat, you can see the wonderful landscape around you. In fact, it was the third time that I went there and I liked it so much! The sea is the most beautiful and transparent I have ever seen.
I was one day in Dubrovnik, one of the most ancient cities in Croatia.
I recommend you this place. Croatian people are very friendly. If you like night life and the sun, it’s the right place for you.
Croatia is the most amazing country for the holidays, trust me!
Keep smiling, bye Klara.

Hi Teresa,

I haven't really tried to fry an egg on the pavement but if you say that is possible I believe it.

But believe me that the hot wind was drying my contacts very fast, it was so unpleasant :( but if you like pretty landscape try to go there, it’s amazing. But take care! You’ll need water (a lot) and some sunscreen cream (it’s not a joke :P)

Keep sharing!

Romain.
