Alyne Piazza, an EFL teacher in Sallaumines, in the North of France, is connecting her elementary kids outside class through The Bleating Kiwi Blog. Check out some of the descriptions of Monsters they have created, illustrated and recorded in their native languages and in English.
During a writing workshop with an older class, she used W.H. Auden’s poem Stop all the clocks (Funeral Blues) and her students wrote, illustrated and recorded their own poems about someone they love or admire. The same students are now interacting with a group from the Netherlands , whom they are planning to meet in Belgium next June.
