A recent immigrant to Australia, Jie is running a weblog as part of her attempt to improve her English. Originally from Beijing, where she worked as a research assistant for the Center of Disease Control (CDC), Jie came to Australia to live with her husband and 8-year-old daughter. She writes:
My character is outgoing, I like singing, travelling, playing badminton and other outdoor sports. I like to make new friends. I hope I can continue my English learning until my English is good. I think life loves me forever.
