We're about to engage in some home improvement here at Dekita.org and we want your advice.
The current batch of page header graphics is based on photos that Bee and I took in the last few months. Click on these thumbnails to view the respective photos on Flickr:
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
As we're about to touch up Dekita's code, we also plan to bring in a new set of header graphics. We have decided that these headers will be based on photos by Josef Stuefer.
Josef makes his photos available under the Creative Commons Attribution license, which allows anyone to re-use his work on condition that they attribute the work to him. This means we're free to take any of his photos, change and modify them as we see fit, and put them on our headers as long as we provide a credit link as well.
So: Josef currently has 265 photos on display and we can't make up our minds which of them to choose.
Do you have any favorites?

P.S. Note that the comment forms on Dekita.org do not accept any HTML for text formatting; please use Textile instead.
Using the Textile markup for hyperlinks, this code:
"A popular search engine":http://google.com
will produce this hyperlink:
Of course you can simply copy and paste a URL into the comment area, but this will not result in a clickable link.

Oops, I’ve just noticed that this fish-eye shot would fit nicely into Bee’s brand-new Nature in Circles pool.

wow, so many great ones there – it’s really hard to pick a particularly nice one . One I liked was this one
the way the red just pops out at me is so appealing :)
ps: I like the increase in contrast of the site now.

Agree with you , Pketh. They are all amazing in their precision and composition. One I particularly like is Denmark with the white Danish cliffs both verging upon and retreating from the ocean and sky …and my eyes and thoughts just follow the blue towards infinity.

What blog program are you using that lets you change the header? I haven’t been able to figure out how to change blogger header graphics although I know it can be done. Thanks.

Hi Barbara—Dekita.org runs on Textpattern. Blogger allows you to tweak the page templates, but you’ll need a working knowledge of HTML to do that.
